World Family of Radio Maria

About Us

In 1998, the World Family of Radio Maria was legally established as a non-profit association. Today is registered as “Ente del Terzo Settore” under italian law. It helps to spread Radio Maria, taking charge of the organization and exchange of expertise for all the activities that promote and develop the project in the world. All the national associations that develop Radio Maria stations in their own country, therefore, are naturally brought together under the umbrella of the World Family of Radio Maria.
The World Association makes available the unique skills and competence of its area managers. Along with our president, who guarantees the project’s expansion, and our spiritual counselor, who supervises the project’s charism and acts as editorial manager for all the stations around the world, we have central offices. The various area managers, in both the operational as well as the managerial fields, assist with professionalism all the associates around the globe who need support. The mission is not limited to active radio stations but also responds to the many calls coming from many nations. The World Family of Radio Maria, therefore, gradually establishes continental representatives who, in coordination with the area managers of the central office, can assist and work on solving the national associations’ specific needs.
This, in summary, is the mandate that the World Family of Radio Maria is called to fulfill:

  • to safeguard and promote the diffusion of the Radio Maria Project in the world;
  • to care for the Radio Maria Project’s image at an international level;
  • to promote the training of presidents and priest directors;
  • to administer the funds gathered by the various national associations that have already been established in assistance to the new or recently founded associations, defining the destination of those funds and overseeing their use;
  • to develop and support the creation of the worldwide network (technical and organizational);
  • to promote research and the sharing of experience among the various Radio Maria stations around the world;
  • to regulate the use, development, and defense of our brand in the world;
  • to represent the World Family and every single national Association with the authorities of the Catholic Church, when necessary;
  • to organize shared moments of prayer, fundraising campaigns, and pastoral projects at the world and continental levels.
